Walking sticks have alway been one of my favorite carving subjects.  What I like about them is that they are a functional, as well as attractive; they are strong and made to last.  You can use them for hiking, support, or just display.

  My most popular is the Wood Spirit stick, featuring the old, bearded tree spirit face.  I can also create a custom stick of your choosing.  Keep in mind that below's samples are showing only the upper carved area of the walking stick; actual sticks are roughly 5 ft. tall, or the length of your choosing. 

These are samples of the Wood Spirit stick.  I have carved them of several species of wood, such as sassafras, white birch, and willow.  However, my favorite wood to use is maple. Maple is strong, lightweight when seasoned, and the carving shows up well against the dark brown bark.
Prices for Spirit sticks are $75.00.  For an additional $5.00, I can include a hand-braided doeskin thong strap.

I can also create a custom stick of your choosing.  To the right and left are samples of sticks that customers have requested.  I can do virtually any subject that will fit onto a stick.  Animals, people, and lettering are some of the subjects I have done.
